Bernik is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at New York Medical College, and Chief of Endovascular Surgery Saint Vincents Hospital, New York, NY He specializes in Vascular / Endovascular Surgery and Interventional Radiology. Dr. Bernik received his medical degree at The George Washington University School of Medicine in 1989. He completed his surgical training at Saint Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center NY NY in2000, followed by a 2 year Vascular and Endovasular Fellowship at North Shore University, Manhasset NY. He did a second fellowship in Endovascular and Interventional Radiology at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester NY during which time he also received his RVT certification. Dr. Bernik has published articles and presented research in many areas of vascular surgery including ischemia reperfusion, shock and minimally invasive procedures. He is an active member of all the major vascular societies. Dr. Bernik has a special interest in endovascular surgery and minimally invasive techniques including abdominal aneurysms, carotid stenosis, venous disease, vascular access and pulsed mechanical thrombolysis.
